*Wire Pegs Official Stockist*
These pegs are designed in Australia and we are supporting a local business. Pegs come in a handmade peg bag!
304 grade are great pegs that will last longer in the face of constant weathering. Due to the peg's nickel content being twice as high as the normal 201 grade stainless steel pegs, they have a greater corrosion resistance.
The lower carbon and manganese content also make them more durable and less prone to rust.
Here's how to choose the best stainless steel peg for you:
- Standard 201 grade: If you tend to bring your pegs inside, live far away from any salt or want them for indoor use, these pegs would be fine.
- 304 grade: (the ones in this listing) You can leave these pegs on the line if you don't live near the ocean. If you have a salty breeze, do not leave them on the line. They may be ok outside if left in a bucket with holes in the bottom - that way the rain will wash the pegs, and being inside the bucket they are sheltered from gathering salt from the wind. Alternatively, bring the pegs inside.
- Marine 316 grade: These pegs will last a lifetime. The best choice if you live near the ocean and want to leave your pegs outside. They will never ever rust and are perfect for boats or coastal use.
